SA001 covers three modules: Overhead Safety, Pole checking and Joint user Poles. It provides learners with the knowledge and skills to make them aware of the hazards and potential risk.

SA001A provides essential training in overhead telecoms safety, covering ladder use, pole inspections, climbing techniques, and joint user pole hazards. This one-day Smart Awards course is ideal for supervisors, planners, or surveyors working near overhead lines.

SA001R refreshes knowledge of safe working practices on overhead telecoms networks, including pole inspections, climbing techniques, and hazard awareness. Designed for operatives renewing their SA001 certification.

This course covers essential safety procedures for working in and around underground telecoms infrastructure. SA002 course includes practical and classroom training and it is a mandatory qualification for engineers accessing Openreach or other safeguarded underground networks.

This refresher course updates knowledge on gas testing and safe cover lifting for operatives working in underground telecoms environments. It ensures continued compliance with safety standards on networks like Openreach. Designed for those renewing their SA002 certification. Valid for 3 years.

SA004 covers the safe selection, inspection, and use of abrasive wheels and cutting equipment. The course includes proper mounting techniques, PPE requirements, and compliance with safety regulations. Ideal for operatives using grinders or cutters in telecoms or utilities work.

SA005 teaches safe techniques for lifting and handling equipment and tools in telecoms and utility settings. The course covers risk assessment, correct lifting principles, legal aspects of manual handling, and using mechanical aids. Its a half to one day course suitable for anyone in construction or utilities

SA006 covers the safety requirements for working in and around deep excavations in telecoms and utilities environments. The course includes trench support systems, soil types, risk assessment, and emergency procedures. Ideal for operatives involved in deeper civils works.

SA050C covers Tetra Safety Systems, the future of telecommunication safety. Safely using leaning ladders and working on flat roofs using Tetra fall-restraint systems is a short summary of what this course offers The course will give participants the knowledge they need to follow the newest safety system

SA024 provides essential training for safely rescuing an operative suspended on a telecommunications pole. This one-day course includes planning aerial rescues, correctly using climbing and MEWP equipment, and compliance with health & safety legislation. Ideal for telecoms and utility line-workers.

This course trains operatives to safely detect and avoid underground utilities using tools like CAT & Genny. It covers interpreting utility plans, identifying risks, and applying safe excavation practices. Essential for anyone involved in street works or excavation near buried services.

This course trains operatives to safely set up temporary traffic management systems when working on or near the highway. It covers the use of cones, barriers, traffic signs, and warning lights to protect the public and workers. Essential for those carrying out street works or utility works.
